  • There is no specific preparation.
  • This test is not recommended for pregnant and breastfeeding women.
  • Do not forget to bring previous exams related to the disease.

HOW IS THE EXAM PERFORMED?

After filling out the registration form at the reception desk, the patient will undergo a brief clinical interview to check their data and exam preparation. Then, they will be sent to the injection room, where a vein will be punctured, preferably one from the forearm for administration of a small amount of radioactive material.

The patient will be cleared and told to return at an interval of 3 to 4 hours after the injection. During this period, the patient will be able to leave the clinic without any restrictions.

Upon returning to the clinic, the patient will be taken to the examination room where they will be positioned on the device’s gurney. They should remain motionless, lying down for 30 to 40 minutes for image acquisition.

Complementary CT images may be necessary, thus increasing the time the patient must stay in the device.

At the end of image acquisition, the patient will be discharged without any restrictions.
