This exam is usually requested as a matter of urgency.
HOW IS THE EXAM PERFORMED?
After filling out the registration form at the reception desk, the patient will be sent to the exam room. They will be positioned onto the device’s gurney and should remain lying down for 10 to 15 minutes. The scrotum will be supported on a cushion and the penis will be turned away from the groin area.
A peripheral vein, preferably in the forearm, will be punctured and a small amount of radioactive material will be injected. Right after the injection, we will start the acquisition of sequential images.
At the end of the exam, the patient will be discharged without any restrictions.
