HOW IS THE EXAM PERFORMED?
After filling out the registration form at the reception desk, the patient will undergo a brief clinical interview to check their data. Then, they will be sent to the injection room and a small amount of radioactive material (tracer) will be injected into a vein, preferably into one from the forearm.
The patient will be instructed to wait 10 to 20 minutes in the waiting room. After this period, the patient will be sent to the examination room where they will be positioned on the gurney of the device and must remain lying motionless for approximately 20 minutes image acquisition.
After image acquisition, the patient will be discharged without any restrictions.
