HOW IS THE EXAM PERFORMED?
After the registration form is filled out at the reception desk, the patient will be sent to the injection room, where a small amount of radioactive material will be injected into a vein, preferably into one from the forearm.
After injection, the patient should wait at least 1 hour for image acquisition. This period is necessary for the tracer to properly concentrate on the region to be analyzed, however, it is not necessary for the patient to remain in the clinic.
On the return, the patient will be sent to the examination room, where they must remain lying on the gurney of the device for image acquisition.
The processing time for this step is approximately 30 to 40 minutes.
At the end, the patient will be discharged without any restrictions.
